ELCS is pleased to offer employers the opportunity to connect with Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ through Handshake to post part-time or full-time jobs, internships, volunteer, research, or other experiential learning opportunities. Handshake is a networking platform used for recruiting college Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ across the nation.

Signing Up for Handshake
All employers must create a Handshake account for their company and request approval to recruit (post jobs and internships) at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. ELCS vets every employer to verify the validity of the organization and ensure the safety of our Ñý¼§Ö±²¥. Once your organization is approved, any approved staff member on the company's account can create job postings.

Post Your Job or Internship
- Login into using the email address and password you previously created.
- Select the "Post Job" button on your home dashboard or click "Jobs" in the left-hand navigation bar and click the "Create Job" button at the top right of the page.
- Complete the form, providing position details, screening preferences, and *schools to with you want to post the position (be sure to select Ñý¼§Ö±²¥)
*Though Handshake offers the convenience of posting at multiple universities, you may have more success connecting with the right Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ by carefully reviewing the major groups at our campus. Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss this further. Our Academics At UM page may assist you in researching our undergraduate and graduate programs, majors, and certificates.
After you have successfully created your posting, ELCS will review and approve it. Once approved, your posting will become visible to our Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ for them to begin applying.

Recruiting at Events
Handshake is also where all employers will register for our various career and experiential learning fairs. We offer a variety of events throughout the academic year that help organizations network with Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ to recruit for their open positions.
