Alpine and Nordic Ski Racing
The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ offers Alpine and Nordic ski racing teams that compete in the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association.
Alpine Ski Racing
Members of the Alpine Ski Racing Team use Montana Snowbowl as their home mountain, only 20 minutes from campus. They compete in the Grand Teton Conference of the USCSSA which comprises schools from Montana, Wyoming and Utah. They also participate in races in Idaho and Washington. The teams are coed with men racing against men and women racing against women. Teams and individuals can qualify for regional and national events based off of regular season performance.
Nordic Ski Racing
Nordic Skiers have hundreds of miles of groomed track around Missoula, from the UM Golf Course to Seeley Lake to Lookout Pass. Training locations vary depending on weather and conditions. Similar to Alpine Skiing, they compete in the Grand Teton Conference of the USCSS Awhich comprises schools from Montana, Wyoming and Utah. They also participate in races in Idaho and Washington. The teams are coed with men racing against men and women racing against women. Teams and individuals can qualify for regional and national events based off of regular season performance.
