Volunteer for Move-In Day 2025
Faculty, staff, administrators, fellow Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, student groups and student athletes are needed for Move-In Day to welcome new and returning Griz Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ to campus! Help us create an exciting and welcoming environment and assist incoming Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ with parking, by providing directions and information, and helping them move their belongings into the residence halls. Students will be given the option to ship their items prior to move-in this year so volunteer time should be spent more time welcoming Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, providing information, and directing traffic more than moving belongings.
Volunteers are needed:
- 8:15 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 18, 2025
All volunteers who commit to at least two hours will receive a free meal in the Lodge and a Move-In Crew T-shirt (signing up to volunteer by July 21 guarantees your desired T-shirt size).

Volunteer Expectations
- Be prompt to shifts
- Wear either a Move-in T-shirt or sticker provided during your shift (if opting to wear a sticker, volunteers should wear Griz colors)
- Speak positively about the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, UM Housing and all student organizations
- Proactively welcome and assist Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and families during move-in
- Answer questions and provide basic information about UM and Missoula to Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and families

* We’re excited to have you help welcome new Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ and families! As a move-in volunteer, you’re representing the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ first and foremost. It’s great to show pride in your group, and we want to remind you that this isn’t the time for active recruitment or promoting individual group messages. Your role is to be a friendly, helpful ambassador and help create a warm, inclusive first impression for all. Of course, you are welcome to wear your letters, logos, jerseys, etc., to let folks know what incredible opportunities await them!
