Neural Injury & Rehabilitation, Motor Sensory Systems
Research that focuses on motor sensory systems, neural injury and rehabilitation investigates the breakdown of brain signal communication to make useful motor actions and the development of viable treatments for recovery and repair. This field includes studying the neuropathology of speech disorders, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and traumatic brain injury, as well as other basic research involving electrophysiology and neuron action potentials.
